Visit the BMA with Fellow Alumni!

Coming up on Feb. 11th, we will be having a docent led tour of the Baltimore Museum of Art! The BMA is a great gem of a museum of in Baltimore and is a family friendly atmosphere for alumni of all ages.

The Baltimore Museum of Art is home to an internationally renowned collection of 19th-century, modern, and contemporary art. Founded in 1914 with a single painting, the BMA today has 90,000 works of art—including the largest holding of works by Henri Matisse in the world. Throughout the Museum, visitors will find an outstanding selection of European and American fine and decorative arts, 15th- through 19th-century prints and drawings, contemporary art by established and emerging contemporary artists, and objects from Africa, Asia, the Ancient Americas, and Pacific Islands. Two beautifully landscaped gardens display an array of 20th-century sculpture that is an oasis in the city.

We kick off the year with our National Networking Day on January 25th and it gets better from there!

National Networking Day – Jan 25th

Join alumni in Baltimore for Elon’s first annual National Networking Day! This event is designed to bring together Elon graduates in their hometowns nationwide to tap into their local Elon network, share experiences and enhance professional contacts.

Our event will take place at the Gin Mill from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25. Plan to take advantage of the opportunity to connect with alumni in the area. Light refreshments will be served and a cash bar will be available. RSVP online or by calling 877.784.3566.

Join us for our semi-annual service event as we go back to Moveable Feast on October 8th! We will packaging and preparing meals to be delivered through out the Baltimore community. We will met on site at 10 am! Join us for a few hours to give back to our community.

Next Event, September 22nd Happy Hour

As the alumni network continues to expand in the DC metro area as well as the Baltimore area we have taken your feedback and are introducing our new social networking series called, “In Your Neighborhood”.

Welcome to Baltimore, Elon Alumni! For graduates, new and old, we are having our annual welcome to the city event this year again at Riverside Park in Baltimore! Our annual crab feast is a great time to get together to meet new alumni in the area on September 10th at 3 pm. Enjoy a few of the things that makes Baltimore great including steamed crabs and lots of Elon Alumni!

Join us as we cruise the Severn River!

Join the Baltimore chapter for a sunset boat cruise on the Severn hosted by John Hill ’76. We will meet Tuesday, July 19 at 5:30 p.m. but no later than 5:45 p.m. at the Forked Creek Yacht Club in Severna Park. Cast off will be at 6 p.m. During the cruise light snacks and beverages will be provided as well as the beautiful twilight views of the Servern River and catching up with fellow Elon alums!

Join Us May 7th at Oriole Park

In just a few weeks, we will watching the Orioles in Birdland. Come down and watch the Birds take on Tampa Bay with your fellow alumni from the cheap seats in centerfield!

The first pitch will be at 1:10 p.m. Plan to take advantage of the special rate $17 tickets; they can be purchased through Elon Web Services until April 30. This will be a great opportunity for a fun outing and catching up with Elon alumni in the area at the same time.
